‘Jacks Unable to Upset No. 17 Texas, Drop Fifth Straight Game

The Lumberjacks came into Austin Texas looking to end a four-game losing streak and upset the No. 17 ranked Longhorns. Unfortunately, the Longhorns had other plans as they were able to extend their three-game win streak into a four-game win streak by defeating SFA 7-0. Lexi Missimo, who came into tonight leading the Longhorns in points, put up an impressive ten total points tonight as she recorded a hat trick and recorded an assist on the other four Texas goals. For SFA, Lilian Adams led the team in shots (four) and shots on goal (two). Lydia Sattler, who recorded her 100th career save tonight, and Bradley Redd combined for seven total saves in the game.
Stephen F. Austin will return home to the Chopping Block to face off against UTSA on Sunday September 10that 12:00 p.m. CT
