
Multiple Lumberjacks Qualify for NCAA Track and Field Regionals

The Lumberjack track and field team will be sending multiple athletes to Sacramento, California. The NCAA West Preliminary Championships will be held May 24th-27th. The SFA group consists of nine deserving individuals who have contributed to another dominant outdoor season.
A Look At The 'Jacks
Nissi Kabongo
Kabongo will look to continue her incredible season in Sacramento. Kabongo will be representing SFA in both the 400m hurdles and the high jump. She is currently ranked 12th in the west, with her 400m hurdles time of 56.99, a school record. Last week, she clinched a WAC Championship in the high jump (1.83m). Kabongo currently ranks 9th in the west, with her 1.83m high jump.
Angel Richmore
Richmore was named WAC Women's Outstanding Field Performer, last week at the WAC Championships,where she finished first in the heptathlon, third in the javelin, and tied for third in the women's high jump. Richmore wll represent the 'Jacks in the high jump, where she is currently 20th entering Sacramento with a clearance of 1.79m.
Branson Ellis
Ellis is coming off his own dominant performance at the WAC Championships, taking first in the pole vault (5.49m). He is currently second in the West First Round, with his vault of 5.86m earned at the Texas Relays earlier this year.
Jayla Hooper
Hooper will be representing the 'Jacks in the hammer throw. She will make the trip to Sacramento, as her throw of 59.08m is currently ranked 39th in the field.
Michelle Ogbemudia
Ogbemudia is coming off her first place shot put performance at the WAC Championships. She is currently ranked 58th in the NCAA with her 16.24 throw, a school record.
Mathilde Coquillaud-Salomon
Coquillaud-Salomon will travel to Sacramento, representing SFA in the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. She is entering the first round 47th in both events with her times of 13.59 and 59.58 respectively.
Izac Canchola
Coming off his first place javelin finish at the WAC Championships, Izac Canchola will join the 'Jacks in California. He is currently ranked 15th in the West, with his throw of 69.02m.
Clark Otte
Otte will be competing in the 3000m steeplechase. He is currently ranked 42nd in the West, with a time of 8:53.53.

Sheldon Noble Sheldon Noble comes into the competion after finishing 3rd in the long jump at the WAC Championships. Noble comes into the West 47th with a jump of 7.56m.
