Branson Ellis Named WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Western Athletic Conference awarded Stephen F. Austin Men's Field Athlete, Branson Ellis, Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Ellis, a senior, captured the men's pole vault event win representing SFA during the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on March 29-April 1. Ellis cleared 5.86m (19-2.75) on his second attempt to establish a WAC outdoor record, a school record, and tie for the NCAA lead in the pole vault as of April 5.
