
SFA Hosts Aggies in Sawmill

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks return home to host the New Mexico State Aggies on Tuesday, December 19 in a non-conference game. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at William R. Johnson Coliseum.
Series History:
This will be the first matchup between the Aggies and Lumberjacks since New Mexico State transitioned from the Western Athletic Conference to Conference USA. This will be the fifth meeting between the Lumberjacks and New Mexico State Aggies. SFA is 2-2 in the series and have won two of the last three matchups. The last time the two met, the Aggies won 73-67 over the 'Jacks on February 1st, 2023, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In the previous matchup, junior guard Latrell Jossell had a solid day on the court, going four-for-seven on three-point shots, and recorded 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists on the day. Sadaidriene Hall also totaled 14 points and brought down seven rebounds and two assists.
A Look at the Lumberjacks:
The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (5-5, 1-1) are coming off a 78-70 loss to the Wyoming Cowboys. SFA had a balanced scoring attack once again with 10 players scoring and led by AJ Cajuste's 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting and four steals. Sadaidriene Hall was the other Lumberjack to finish with double-digit scoring. Hall finished with 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field and a team high five rebounds.
