Branson Ellis Named WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the Second Consecutive Week

ARLINGTON, Texas- The Western Athletic Conference named Stephen F. Austin pole vaulter, Branson Ellis the WAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Ellis won the FasTrak Indoor Collegiate Opener last weekend with a mark of 5.50m or 18' 0.5". Ellis was the only competitor to clear 5.50m (18-0.5), which would have placed second in the WAC to his own 5.60m (18-4.5) effort earlier this season and ranked ninth nationally as of Jan. 25. This is the second week in a row that he has won this award.
