SFA Cross Country Travel to Chile Pepper Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas- The Stephen F. Austin cross country team heads to Fayetteville, Arkansas. Both the men and women will take part in the Chile Pepper Invitational on September 30th.
The Chile Pepper meet will consist of an invitational men's and women's race, with roughly 35 teams. Head Coach Robert Hansen said, "this was our worst team meet last year but we're really confident in our improvements over the last 365 days."
SFA will look for an extra surge of energy, through the youth of their freshmen. Five of the eight men and three of the eight women are freshmen.
The Lumberjacks are led by a strong group of upperclassmen. Rachel Taylor and Isabel Borrego will look to finish at the top of the women's competition. Lewis Mills and Max Murphy will lead the men, each likely to place in the top 20.
The Chile Pepper Invitational will start at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow and will be followed by the Arturo Barrios Invitational October 15th in College Station, Texas.
