Ladyjacks Duel Against Southern Utah

CEDAR CITY, Utah- The Southern Utah Thunderbirds defeated the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks in a 1-0 contest.
This game was evenly matched throughout as both teams recorded seven shots on goal. The lone goal of the game came in the 86th minute from SUU. This was after two goals from SFA were called back, one in the first half and one in the second half. The Ladyjacks led the Thunderbirds in shots (18-16) and kept pace in corner kicks, eight to six in favor of SUU.
Morgan Donohue, Destiny Ramirez, and Reaganne Crane all recorded two shots on goal, followed by Jayme Bailey who had one shot on goal. Crane led the Ladyjacks with five shots overall, followed by Bailey and Ramirez who each recorded three. Goalkeeper Lydia Sattler had five saves in this match.
SFA will be back at home for the first match of their four-game home stand on Friday, September 23rd at 7 p.m. as they face off against rival Sam Houston on Teacher Appreciation Day.
