Ladyjacks Draw Against the Ragin' Cajuns

LAFAYETTE, La.- The Stephen F. Austin soccer program continued their first road trip of the season against the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana. Junior Kyra Guhl and Freshman Morgan Donohue recorded their first collegiate goals in this game that ended in a 2-2 draw.
Lousiana got the scoring started in this game in the 22nd minute. Kyra Guhl scored the equalizer with assists from Mariona Garcia Dalmases and Morgan Donohue who fed the corner kick into the box for SFA. Morgan Donohue got on the board herself in the 59th minute off of a corner kick by Reaganne Crane which put the Ladyjacks ahead 2-1. The final goal of the game was scored in the 88th minute as the Ragin' Cajuns tied the game at 2.
Morgan Donohue led the team in points as she recorded one goal and one assist in the game. Seven different Ladyjacks recorded one shot on goal (Avery Brandt, Jayme Bailey, Jamie Jezierski, Colleen Feagins, Morgan Donohue, Kyra Guhl and Jamie Ingrassia). Goalkeeper Koral Hughes recorded five saves in the first half and Lydia Sattler recorded two saves in the second half. The Ladyjacks recorded 11 shots, seven saves, and had seven corner kicks in today's contest.
The Ladyjacks will be on the road for the final game of this road trip Friday August 26th for a matchup with the Prairie View A&M Panthers at 7 PM.
