SFA downs Missouri State in Texas A&M Tourney Finale

The Ladyjacks got to work in the top half of the third inning. Kelby Robbins delivered a sacrifice fly to right field to score Shaylon Govan. Dakotah Pool followed that with an RBI single up the middle and Simone Medeiros also provided an RBI single and the Ladyjacks led 3-0.
MSU added a pair of runs and SFA responded. In the Ladyjacks part of the fourth inning, Gaby Garcia reached on a fielder's choice to score Hope Lusk and SFA extended the lead to 4-2.
Govan delivered a two-run home run in the sixth inning and the Ladyjacks added a pair of runs in the seventh inning.
Lusk batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and drew two walks and Govan finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
As a team, SFA pounded out 10 hits and nine RBI.
Kassidy Wilbur earned the win in the circle. Wilbur tossed a complete game and allowed 10 hits, six runs and struck out nine batters.
The Ladyjacks return to action Tuesday at Louisiana Tech.
