Volleyball Earns Their Eighth Sweep of the Season

SEATTLE, Wash.- Stephen F. Austin defeated Seattle University, 3-0 to earn their 8th sweep of the season. SFA improves to 18-2 (6-1 WAC) while SU falls to 4-9 (0-5 WAC).
The Ladyjacks won the first set 25-21, the second set 25-17, and the third set 25-18. SFA led SU in points (65-44), kills (51-34), aces (6-3), blocks (8-7), assists (45-34), digs (56-51), and hitting percentage (.303-.208). Ielan Bradley led the offensive attack for SFA with 14 kills, she also recorded five blocks in this game. Payton Cerny recorded 13 kills in this game. Jayden Flynn recorded her 7th double-double of the season with 22 assists and 11 digs and led the team in both categories. Maddy Bourque had 17 assists and nine digs. Haley Hoang tied Flynn for the lead with 11 digs, followed by Leah Powell and Ariana Pagan who each recorded 10 digs.
SFA will continue their road trip at Utah Valley on Saturday, October 15th at noon central time.
