Lumberjacks Battle with Big 12 Foe Baylor

The SFA soccer team dropped its final non-conference game of the season 3-0 to the Baylor Bears in Waco on Thursday night.
Madeline Talbot started in goal for the 'Jacks and made three good saves before rotating with Maci Mae Stephens who saw her first action of the season. The sophomore racked up four saves with just one goal allowed in the second half. It was an impressive debut for the Austin native.
On the offensive side, the 'Jacks recorded seven shots with two on target. Sophie Smith and Lily Hargrove both tested the Baylor keeper early in the second half in quick succession.
The Lumberjacks return home Friday, Sept. 24th, for the conference opener against Sam Houston State at 7:00 p.m.
