NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- Redshirt-freshman Jaylin Jackson-Posey of the Lumberjack basketball program is taking advantage of a unique opportunity to play basketball overseas for Sports Reach, a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to outreach in other countries.
"I am so proud that Jaylin chose to use his time away from Nacogdoches to join Sports Reach from their summer tour to Belize", said SFA head coach Kyle Keller. "This is an invaluable opportunity for Jaylin to grow both athletically and personally. We have had a number of former Lumberjack Basketball players participate in similar tours, and feel it is a tremendous learning experience. With Jaylin being unable to play last season, this will also be a great chance for him to compete against top-level talent heading into the 2021-2022 season."
Sports Reach is a non-profit providing opportunities for athletes, coaches and fans to reach the world through sports. The group does this through local and international trips as well as teams in the United States. With a 33-year history serving unique areas of the world, Sports Reach has developed a reputation that gives their team access into various countries and prisons. By using the platform of sports, the group shares their hope in Christ with people around the world.
Jaylin joins a slew of former SFA Letterwinners who have participated in similar trips in previous years, including Dallas Cameron, TJ Holyfield and Shannon Bogues.
