SFA Track and Field Competes at Pair of Weekend Meets

AUSTIN, Texas -- The SFA track and field team competed at a pair of in-state meets over the weekend and accounted itself well, with several 'Jacks winning their events and notching marks that place them within the upper echelon of the Southland Conference, while one Lumberjack athlete placed himself atop the national leaderboard in his event. Asani Hylton, a junior from Westmoreland, Jamaica, vaulted himself into the top of the Division I leaderboard in the men's decathlon thanks to a standout performance at the 93rd Clyde Littllefield Texas Relays in Austin. The SFA distance runners, meanwhile, went to take part in the Victor Lopez Classic in Houston, garnering many Top Eight finishes in their competition there.
