NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Lumberjack Soccer and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey are proud to announce the addition of several upgrades to the SFA Soccer facility, set to be completed this summer. In addition to the upgrades, SFA Athletics also announced its inaugural season ticket and single game ticket pricing.
"What a great day for our soccer program", said Ivey. "We are extremely excited about the opportunity to enhance our facility and provide a better representation of the success our soccer program has achieved over the last decade. This facility enhancement will provide a great fan experience, allow us to increase revenue by being able to sell robust ticketing plans for our soccer matches and allow us to be able to host more outside events, such as the Conference tournament and other marquee matches, while at the same time allowing us to move closer to achieving our vision of being the leading mid-major athletics department in the nation. We are extremely thankful for our donors who made this project completely privately funded, as it will be a game changer for our soccer program. The future is bright for our soccer program and our entire athletics department. Now is the time to get involved and make a difference in the lives of our great student-athletes."
Following a fan vote to nickname the facility The Chopping Block, SFA Soccer will offer fans a first class experience starting this fall as the storied program unveils plans for the new stadium environment. Funded entirely by generous private donations, the facility will include suite seating, reserved chairback seating, general admission seating and standing room only areas for fans to enjoy. Existing bleacher seating will be moved to the goal line areas for additional viewing options. All told, the facility upgrades will allow for a seating capacity of approximately 1,200 fans.
"Our program as a whole is incredibly excited to be adding the grandstands to our field this year", said SFA head soccer coach Tony Minatta. "The playing surface and setting is already the best in the conference, and now we will be able to provide the incredible fans of SFA women's soccer with seating that will be able to accommodate more people and create an incredible game day atmosphere. These improvements show our commitment to continue elevating this program and we are very grateful to those who have made this possible. We are looking forward to taking the field and competing in front of our faithful fans and showing all the Jacks what it means to play the SFA way!"
Season Ticket options are as follows:
VIP Suite - $350 per seat (2020 - Sold Out)
Reserved - $50 per seat plus a $50 donation to the Purple Lights Fund
General Admission - Adult is $30 and Youth is $20
General Admission Group Rates are available and for more information, call our SFA Athletic Ticket Office at 936/468-5225
"This has been a decade in the making", said Assistant AD for Ticketing and Business Development Wally Crittenden. "I am excited for our community and for our soccer program to be able to realize this dream and enjoy a proper stadium environment at no cost to the university. We will continue to work to bring additional events on campus to inspire our Deep East Texas young people to become the next generation of game changers. A special thank you to our donors and to University and Athletic administration for everyone's efforts on the project."
