Ladyjacks Earn USTFCCCA Team Academic Award; Pair of Individuals Named to All-Academic Teams

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The U.S Track and Field and Cross Country Coach Association (USATFCCCA) announced its 2019-20 Team Academic and Individual All-Academic Teams on Thursday. Among the teams recognized were the SFA women's track and field team, who joined the list thanks to a 3.1 cumulative GPA as a group during the 2019-20 academic year. Two individuals from the Ladyjack squad, Kaylee Bizzell and Caitlin Lennon, were also recognized as part of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams as part of the same release on Thursday.

Bizzell and Lennon both met a stringent set of requirements to qualify for the All-Academic Teams, including a cumulative 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, they must have finished the indoor season ranked within the top 96 of their individual championship event on the NCAA Division I lists. Bizzell and Lennon are majoring in nursing and accountancy, respectively.
