Kriesel Dominant for SFA in Shutout Victory Against Jacksonville

MOBILE, Ala. -- Senior Ashley Kriesel was dealing on Saturday, tossing a three-hit shutout to lead the SFA Ladyjacks past the Jacksonville Dolphins 4-0. Kriesel (5-1) went the distance for SFA (8-4), giving up three hits, walking two and striking out 10.
At the plate, the Ladyjacks were paced by freshman Shaylon Govan, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a home run, a walk and two RBIs. Sophomore Savanna Parker put together a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-1 with a double. Junior Brittany Crawford also helped out for SFA, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding an RBI.
GAME SUMMARY
The Ladyjacks took the lead for good in the first, opening the scoring with a sacrifice fly by Govan. Sophomore Alex Hedspeth came across to score the lone run of the inning for SFA and get them on the board first.
