MOBILE, Ala. -- It was a tough day for South Alabama pitchers, as the SFA Ladyjacks scored seven runs en route to a 7-4 victory over the Jaguars on Saturday.

Sophomore Kassidy Wilbur (3-2) got the win out of the bullpen for SFA (9-4), their third-straight victory. The right-hander was stellar in relief through seven innings, giving up one run on one hit, allowing five walks and striking out eight.

In the batter's box, the Ladyjacks were led by freshman Shaylon Govan, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a home run, a walk and five RBIs. Sophomore Alex Hedspeth put together a noteworthy performance as well, going 3-for-4. Senior Madison Clements also contributed for SFA, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a double.

GAME SUMMARY

The Ladyjacks got on the board immediately, starting their scoring in the first inning with a two-run single off the bat of Govan to drive in Hedspeth and Bryana Novegil. SFA scored three runs in the frame in support of starter Jordan Llinas.

After the Jaguars rallied to tie the ballgame at three, the Ladyjacks came back to re-take the lead in the fourth inning.
