Cerdan Advances in Consolation Bracket of Peruna Draw on Day Two of SMU Invite

SMU Invite Draws | Day Two
DALLAS - Senior Nida Kamal and freshman Elena Bleicher won their only doubles match of the day to lead the SFA tennis team in day two of the SMU Invitational Saturday.
Kamal and Bleicher took down the Wichita State tandem of Alexandra Lazarova and Natsumi Kurahashi by a 6-1 score in the back draw section of the White Draw bracket.
In singles play, senior Armelle Cerdan won a pair of matches to move on to the back draw finals. The senior bested Emma Pieroni 6-1, 6-3 before earning a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (8) come-from-behind victory over Wichita State's Ting-Ya Hsu. Cerdan will take on Katia de la Garza from Southern Miss in the Peruna Draw back draw finals Sunday morning.
