COACH CRITTENDEN'S THOUGHTS
Opening thoughts on the win over LSU-Alexandria:
"Some good soccer, some good buildup. I'll tell you that LSU-Alexandria has some good pieces, some good players that can challenge you and cause you problems if you don't come to play, and they'll have special moments all year. It was a good game for us to get out there and compete, we created plenty of opportunities on the offensive end, and while we have some work to do on the execution side, it was good to see that. On the defensive side, to hold a collegiate team to one shot in a match while creating 22 is a good thing to build on."
On the 22 shots and numerous goal-scoring chances created by the 'Jacks:
"You always want to convert the opportunities when you get them, and we've done well with that all year, even with tonight being another multi-goal game for us. If we weren't creating chances, if we weren't hitting the posts, forcing great saves and creating those moments I'd be concerned, but right now it's just about getting out here on Sunday and creating more of those opportunities on Sunday. We'll face a good Houston team on Sunday and it will challenge us on both sides of the ball."
On the health of the team and return of senior Katie Jennings
"We got out of here pretty healthy, which I'm always real excited about, and it was fantastic seeing Katie Jennings back out here and seeing what she brings to that position and our lineup as a whole. I'm excited about seeing her play more on Sunday, and then we'll be just a piece or two away from where we want to be heading into conference play."
