SACRAMENTO, CA – Dominique Jackson had one goal in mind at the onset of the 2017-18 season; to break the school record in the 400m hurdles. In her last race of the season, the junior did exactly that, setting a new school-best mark of 58.98 in the race on the way to a 16^th place finish in the NCAA Division I West Regional, held in Sacramento, California. Jackson was one of five individuals competing on the second day of the three-day meet.

Starting off the day for SFA was Kerry Gleason in the 110m hurdles, where he ran to a time of 14.45 to finish 34^th overall. Drake Murphy then sprinted to a new personal best of his own, taking 17^th in the 800m run with a time of 1:49.32.

In the women's pole vault, Dakota Mayr finished 27^th and cleared a mark of 3.93m (12-10.75), while Kaylee Bizzell took 38^th with a height of 3.78m (12-4.74)

Rounding out the meet's competition for SFA will be the men's 4x100 relay on Saturday at 6:00 p.m., while Isaiah Pittman will compete in the triple jump beginning at 7:30 p.m..
