McLaughlin led Ladyjacks to two Southland Conference Tournament through his three-year tenure
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin head women's tennis coach Jon McLaughlin announced his resignation late Wednesday afternoon to pursue other personal and professional opportunities. McLaughlin completed his third season in charge of the Ladyjacks last Sunday.
"We are thankful and appreciative of the time and dedication coach McLaughlin gave to our tennis program throughout his time in Nacogdoches," said SFA Director of Athletics Robert Hill. "Under his direction, our women's tennis players have excelled both academically and athletically and our facilities have received a number of improvements thanks to his efforts."
Four Ladyjacks earned a total of five All-Southland Conference honors during McLaughlin's tenure including rising junior Nida Kamal and rising senior Kaja Ljubic who was named the 2017 Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year.
A national search for McLaughlin's replacement will begin immediately.
