SFA Distance Runners Compete Well at Victor Lopez Classic

Day one results
HOUSTON, Texas – Three top-five finishes led the way for SFA at the Victor Lopez Classic after the opening day of competition on Friday.
Pedro Flores and Larry Deramus led the way with second and fifth place finishes in the men's 1500 meter race, with personal bests of 3:58.77 and 3:59.83, respectively. Titus Kiplagat raced to a third place finish in the men's 5000m race with a personal best of 15:08.05.
Kelsey Ramirez would finish first in the 1500m run with a time of 4:33.02, while teammate Brittany Innis placed eighth with a mark of 4:41.60 in the event.
The Victor Lopez Classic wraps up tomorrow with a full schedule of events.
The remainder of SFA's track and field took part in the UTSA Roadrunner Invitational on Friday, with competition by just the field events for SFA. Results for those events are incomplete.
