SFA Multis Wrap Up Competition at ACU Wildcat Spring Multis

ABILENE, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin men and women multi-athletes finished the second day of competition at the ACU Wildcat Spring Break Multi on Wednesday, ending with two women in the top three for the Heptathlon and three men finishing in the top eight for the decathlon.
Caitlin Lennon claimed a new personal best score of 4837 to win the heptathlon, thanks to a new personal best of 39.64m in the javelin throw. Teammate Jillian Turner also notched a new PR in the javelin, hitting a mark of 38.19m to finish just behind Lennon in the event. Sammi Brashears came in third in the heptathlon with a mark of 4502. Elsewhere in the event, Avery Ellis-Byerly finished first in the shot put with a distance of 11.73m.
On the men's side, three Lumberjacks placed in the top eight, with Tanner Parks (third), Bradley Beaty (fourth) and Cord Neal (eighth) all placing in the event. Parks notched a new personal best with a score of 6330, while Beaty finished at 6032.
