THE FULL ROTATION
• Armed with a one game lead for first place in the Southland Conference standings, the Stephen F. Austin volleyball team starts a grueling three-match week with a Halloween night meeting with two-time defending league titleholder Texas A&M-Corpus Christi inside Shelton Gym. First serve between the Ladyjacks and Islanders has been set for 6:30 p.m. and the match will be streamed live nationwide on ESPN3 and the ESPN app and the match will also serve as the team's Dig Pink match to promote awareness of breast cancer. Fans in attendance will receive the opportunity to receive free pink t-shirts and SFA's Purple Haze Association will be on hand throughout the Halloween night match in order to help conduct a number of Halloween-themed activities which include a costume contest and face painting.
• Winners of nine matches in a row, SFA is trying to accomplish something on Tuesday which has only been done on four other occasions in the history of the program - survive the entire month of October without a loss. The Ladyjacks' most recent undefeated October came in 2014 when they won all nine matches en route to the program's most recent Southland Conference crown. Other seasons in which the Ladyjacks posted a perfect record in the month included 2006 (10-0), 2005 (10-0) and 1995 (9-0). In each of those seasons, SFA captured a Southland Conference regular season title.
• The Ladyjacks' nine-match winning streak is tied with Minnesota for the 16th-longest active streak in all of NCAA Division I volleyball. It's also SFA's second-longest undefeated run of the 2017 campaign as earlier in the season the team racked up eleven victories in a row.
• Headed into Tuesday night's tilt, SFA remains on top of the Southland Conference standings in terms of team attack percentage. SFA leads the 13-team league and ranks 21st nationally with an attack percentage of .269 and in Southland Conference matches SFA is hitting at a league-leading clip of .309. That makes the Ladyjacks one of only 12 NCAA Division I volleyball teams from around the nation that have posted a team attack percentage of .300 or better in conference play.
• Two of the top five leaders in attack percentage in the Southland Conference wear SFA colors. Junior Makenzee Hanna leads the 13-team league with an attack percentage of .363 and sophomore Danae Daron ranks fourth in the league with a mark of .326. In Southland Conference-only matches, Hanna's attacking clip of .406 ranks second among all league players to freshman Anyia Williams who is attacking at a rate of .471. Daron is also included in the list of top ten most accurate hitters in Southland-only play as her attack percentage in conference matches sits at .327. SFA is the only team in the league to have three players in the top ten in terms of attack percentage in Southland Conference-only matches.
• Since dropping a 3-1 decision to Baylor on Sept. 21, 2016, SFA has won 17 straight matches inside Shelton Gym. That stretch started with a 3-0 Southland Conference victory over Sam Houston State on Sept. 24, 2016, and in all the Ladyjacks have won 14 matches in a row against Southland Conference opposition inside Shelton Gym. SFA's last loss to a league opponent inside its home facility came on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, when Incarnate Word claimed a 3-2 victory.
