Ledet, Cutthroats Win MCBL Championship

CASPER, Wyo. – Stephen F. Austin pitcher Patrick Ledet and the Casper Cutthroats won the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League Championship over the weekend.
The Cutthroats defeated the Northern Colorado Toros 10-8 on Saturday to claim their first title in the MCBL summer league.
Ledet, a sophomore for the upcoming 2015 Lumberjack baseball season, closed out the summer season with a 4-1 record and 2.76 ERA across nine appearances. A native of Nacogdoches, Texas, Ledet recorded 39 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched.
As a freshman last season, Ledet appeared in 14 games, making two starts.
