Taylor, Peden Head To USA Outdoor Championships

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Lumberjacks Josh Taylor and Jamal Peden will represent the Stephen F. Austin track and field team this weekend at the USA Outdoor Championships.
Taylor will compete in the 400-meter hurdles beginning Friday (6:30p.m.), with the final round taking place on Sunday (4:19p.m.), while Peden will contend in the long jump on Sunday (2:15p.m.).
The two `Jacks most recently competed in the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships, each coming away with honors. Taylor was named a first team USTFCCCA All-American after finishing in seventh-place in the 400-meter hurdles. Taylor ran a time of 53.03 seconds in the final and ran 50.58 during the semifinals. Taylor's finish scored two points for SFA, just the second time in school history the men's has scored points in back-to-back years at the NCAA Championship.
Peden finished in 23rd place in the long jump to receive honorable mention.
