EUGENE, Ore. - Stephen F. Austin hurdler Josh Taylor proved himself as one of the nation's best on Friday evening at Hayward Field as he finished in seventh place in the 400 meter hurdles at the NCAA Championship.
Taylor crossed the line in 53.03 seconds in seventh to score two points for the Lumberjacks toward the team scoring at the championship meet.
With Taylor's finish, SFA ends its competition at the NCAA Championship. The meet will conclude on Saturday with team titles awarded after the final event out of 21 is completed. SFA will await the end of the meet to see where the Lumberjacks rank in the team scoring.
SFA's two points scored matches last year's total when Cass Brown-Stewart finished seventh in the 100 meters.
Saturday's action can be seen on ESPNU with the broadcast beginning at 4 p.m. The broadcast also will be available online on espn3.com and via the WatchESPN app on mobile devices.
