Wednesday Results

Duo will compete on Friday along with Murphy (HJ) and Williams (TJ) for berths in the NCAA National Championship

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Jarvis Anderson (400mH) and Keyshawn Garcia (800m) extended their respective spring campaigns on Wednesday in Northwest Arkansas as both Lumberjack competitors qualified for Friday finals at the West Regional from John McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus. The pair will join Hunter Murphy (HJ) and Bryson Williams (TJ) on Friday with berths in the NCAA National Championship on the line.

Thursday's action will see both Evaline Chepkoech and Valentine Jemutai in action. Chepkoech will compete in heat 3 of the women's 1500m, while Jemutai will look to advance to Eugene, Oregon in the regional finals of the women's 10000m.

Top 3 from each quarterfinal plus next 3 fastest times advance to Eugene

Anderson posted a 50.77 (50.763) to place 17^th overall in the preliminaries and advance to Friday's final as one of the top six remaining times not among the top three in each heat. Anderson, in lane six of heat two, placed fourth in the heat with the top three runners all posting top 15 times overall with Texas A&M's Ja'Qualon Scott hitting 50.10 in heat two as the third-fastest qualifying time overall.

Keyshawn Garcia | Men's 800m | 23^rd of 47 | QUALIFIED FOR REGIONAL FINAL
Top 3 from each quarterfinal plus next 3 fastest times advance to Eugene

Garcia clocked the second-fastest time among heat five competitors with a 1:48.30 from lane two; just 0:00.09 back of his program record in the event. He posted the fastest split in the second 400m at 54.10. Arizona State's Dayton Carlson won the heat with the 14^th fastest time in qualifying.
