SLC Announces Men's, Women's Broadcast Schedule

FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference office announced the men’s and women’s basketball broadcast schedule for the 2014-15 season on Thursday and Stephen F. Austin will have nine games broadcasted between the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks.
ESPN3 enters its third year as the home of the Southland’s primary broadcast package. Coverage includes eight doubleheaders with women’s and men’s games carried back-to-back. SFA will be featured in two of the SLC’s ESPN3 packages, appearing first at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi on Saturday, Feb. 14, before hosting Northwestern State on Thursday, Mar. 5.
Additionally, the men’s team will also have their Saturday, Jan.17, game at Abilene Christian televised on the CBS Sports Network.
In non-conference play, the ‘Jacks will have four games televised. SFA will host Northern Iowa on Tuesday, Nov. 18, on ESPN2 as part of ESPN’s 24-Hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. The 8 a.m. tip will be the first of three consecutive televised games for the ‘Jacks. Following UNI, SFA will play at Xavier (Nov. 21) and Baylor (Nov. 24) on the Fox Sports Network, appearing on Fox Sports 2 (FS2) and Fox Sports Southwest.
The ‘Jacks, following a trip to Las Vegas for the 2014 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, will play their final non-conference TV game at Memphis on Tuesday, Dec. 2, on ESPNews.
The SLC Tournament will be aired through a variety of mediums this season. The Southland Conference Digital Network will stream the first and second rounds of the men’s and women’s tournaments while the semifinals will be available on ESPN3. The championship game of the men’s tournament will be televised Saturday, March 14, at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN2, while this year, for the second consecutive year, the championship game of the women’s tournament will be televised on the CBS Sports Network. That game will be played on Sunday, March 15, at 12 p.m.
