SFA Tennis Opens Season in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas - The No. 59-ranked Stephen F. Austin women's tennis team will be in Houston, Texas Tuesday to face Houston. The 2013 opener is slated to begin at 1 p.m. and will take place at the Galleria Tennis and Athletic Club (GTAC).
The Ladyjacks return three letterwinners, and two All-Southland Conference selections from last year's squad that won the Southland Conference regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time in school history. SFA enters the 2013 season under the direction of first-year head coach Stephanie Wooten.
Following Tuesday's match the Ladyjacks will return to action Friday when they travel to Waco, Texas to compete in the HEB-Baylor Invite, however the Baylor Invite will not be a dual match setting. SFA returns to dual match competition Saturday, Jan. 26th, when they travel to Austin, Texas to face Utah in the ITA Kickoff.
