'Jacks Host ULM in Midweek Clash

Game Notes & What To Watch For:

- Stephen F. Austin is 17-29 all-time against Louisiana-Monroe. These two teams last met Feb. 25, 2011, when the Lumberjacks broke a 1-1 tie, scroing three runs in the top of the eighth, before taking a 7-1 decision over the Warhawks at the Northwestern State Invitational.
- Sophomore shortstop Hunter Dozier currently leads the Lumberjacks with a .387 batting average and three home runs through eight games. The Denton native hit five homers as a true freshman in 2011.
- Bobby Loveless made his return to the ‘Jacks in 2012 after sitting out the entire 2011 season due to injury. Loveless has appeared in all eight games for SFA thus far, making seven starts with five at first base and two as designated hitter. His last time against the Warhawks Loveless finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
-Last time out, the 'Jacks saw their losing streak extend to four, falling to Texas-Arlington, in a non-conference matchup, on the final day of the UTA Invitational. Freshman Cameron Gann allowed just one run through seven innings against the Mavericks in his first collegiate start. Zach Benson and Rene' Moreda led the 'Jacks at the plate combining for seven of the nine SFA hits in the game. Benson finished 4-for-5 at the plate, while Moreda was a solid 3-for-3.
