With the regular season finally in the rear view mirrow, the Stephen F. Ausitn Ladyjacks will now set their sights on a ticket to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed in this weekend's Southland Conference Tournament in Conway, Ark.
SFA will open up the tournament against the No. 4 Northwestern State Demons with the winner moving on to face the winner of No. 1 Central Arkansas and No. 8 Southeastern Louisiana. It is the third time the Ladyjacks have been the No. 5 seed in the history of the program, who enter having won four of their last six matches.

• This is the third time SFA has been a No. 5 seed in the tournament, but the first time since 1991. The Ladyjacks are 1-2 all-time as a No. 5 seed, including going 1-1 in 1991.
• No team lower than a No. 5 seed has ever won the Southland Conference Tournament. Texas State in 2007 and UT-Arlington in 2001 are the only occurrences. Either the No. 1 or No. 2 seeds have taken the tournament crown each year since 2008.
• Since the tournament expanded to eight teams in 2005, No. 5 seeds are 3-4 in the event, losing in the first round each of the past three seasons.
• SFA is 2-0 all-time in the SLC Tournament against first-round opponent Northwestern State, winning matches in both 2006 and 2007.
• Since the tournament expanded to eight teams in 2005, SFA has only been knocked out in the first round twice - 2008 and 2012.
• The Ladyjacks have made the SLC Tournament title match 11 times since 1992. SFA is 4-7 in those title matches, while also compiling a 25-21 all-time record in the tournament.
• SFA is the only program in the tournament this season with at least 20 all-time tournament wins. Lamar is the only other school to do so with 24, but did not qualify for this year's tournament.
• This year will mark just the third time that the Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament has been played outside the state of Texas, and the second year a row to be in Conway. The only other time the tournament was held outside of Texas was 1997 when it was in Lake Charles, La.
