FRISCO, Texas - Senior forward Laura Sadler was named the Southland Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday following her second consecutive two-goal performance in as many games in the Ladyjacks 4-2 win over Nicholls last Friday, according to league officials.
Sadler, a native of Coppell, Texas, shared the SLC Offensive Player of the Week honor with Lamar's Kristin Boss. Sadler also won last week's SLC Offensive Player of the Week.
Sadler's two goals against Nicholls helped the Ladyjacks complete the conference regular season with an unblemished 8-0-0 record and tie the single-season school record with 15 wins. Sadler now ranks seventh all-time in SFA history with 60 career points and is fifth in goals with 28.
The Ladyjacks return to action Friday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 p.m. as the No. 1 seed in the Southland Conference Tournament in Lake Charles, La. They will face the winner of the No. 4 Oral Roberts/No. 5 Sam Houston State match.
