Stephen F. Austin got back in the win column last week, getting a pair of conference victories over McNeese State and Lamar. Now they will look to carry that momentum over into this week when they travel to Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls on Thursday and Saturday.
SFA will be looking for revenge against the Lions on Thursday after Southeastern shocked the Ladyjacks just two weeks ago with a 3-2 win at Shelton Gym in what was just the third win by the Lions in 32 all-time matches between the schools. Two days later the Ladyjacks will be looking to complete the season sweep of the Colonels, and a successful week will keep SFA in the upper half of the league with four matches left to be played.

Up-to-the minute match updates, as well as the latest news can be found via these outlets from all home matches and selected road matches.
BURNS NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sabrina Burns was named the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after a week in which she averaged 1.47 blocks per set. Her biggest match was a nine-block performance against McNeese State and one match later with four blocks against Lamar she moved into the all-time top 10 at SFA in blocks.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE JILL: Jill Ivy has been stellar in her sophomore year, averaging 3.09 kills per set and earning all-tournament honors twice. She's put down at least 10 kills in 21 of 25 matches on the year, with one of those nights being a 21-kill effort in a win over South Dakota. Should she finish the season with a kills average above 3.00 per set, she would join MC Bottles as just the second Ladyjack to average at least 3.00 kills per setsince 2008.
JACQUE AT THE NET: Redshirt freshman middle blocker Jacque Allen had a breakout match on Saturday against Lamar, putting up 15 kills to go with six blocks in a win over the Cardinals. Allen's previous season highs came all the way back in the first match of the season against UTPA when she had six kills and four rejections.
A NEW PAIGE: Sophomore setter Paige Holland has made tremendous strides this season and the numbers reflect just that. The sophomore from Magnolia is currently averaging 9.73 assists per set and with a strong finish to the year could still become just the second Ladyjack setter since 2007 to average at least 10 assists per set. She also recently passed Sunni Williams to move into sixth all-time at SFA in assists, going over 2,000 for her career.
HANLAN 2K: Senior libero Madison Hanlan moved into select company over the weekend, solidifying herself as one of the greatest defensive players to put on a Ladyjack uniform when she joined former all-America libero Stephanie Figgers as just the second Ladyjack to ever record 2,000 digs for her career. She has averaged no less than 4.24 digs per set each season to date and if she does that again, she will also join Figgers with four seasons that rank in SFA's top 10.
