NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the 2011 Division I Track & Field team Thursday afternoon. Two of Stephen F. Austin's athletes were among the list of elite individuals that received the award. The group of athletes represents collegiate track and field's best competitors in both on the track and in the classroom.
Senior Kaitlyn Andrews is a five-time All-Southland Conference selection, who won two individual shot put titles during her career. Senior Amy Shackelford is not only a five-time All-SLC selection, but a two-time SLC individual champion. Shackelford was also named the SLC Track and Field Female Student-Athlete of the year in 2010.
