Game Notes & What To Watch For:
- The `Jacks are 10-3 in recorded history against the Huskies, but are a perfect 8-0 since renewing the series in 2008.
- Junior Bryson Myles has hit safely in 11 of 12 games on the season, but has also been a menace on the basepaths. Myles has swiped 15 bags in 16 tries this year, including tying a school record with four steals against UNO. His 15 thefts already place him in the all-time top 10 at SFA, and also places him halfway to Kai Kirby's single-season record of 30 steals set in 2008.
- SFA is currently second in the Southland Conference with a 2.78 ERA through 12 games, including a 2.25 ERA from the Lumberjack bullpen.
- Darren Crabtree has had a solid start at the plate as well for SFA, tying a school record with five walks in the opener against UALR and then nearly tying his own school record with a 5-for-6 performance against Centenary on Saturday when the 'Jacks set a new school record with 22 runs against the Gents.
- SFA has not had to stress out its bullpen early in the season, as has been the case in years past; instead, SFA has used 13 pitchers so far out of the pen to log 47.0 innings of work. Ten of those pitchers have been used multiple times, with Landon Kozeny logging the most appearances, pitching 5.1 innings in five showings with 10 strikeouts to just two walks.
