SFA Alumni Weekend Set for April 1st & 2nd

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin track and field team has scheduled its alumni weekend for Friday, April 1 through Saturday, April 2. A reception will be held Friday, April 1, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Fredonia Hotel, but the weekend will be highlighted SFA Quad and Alumni Meet slated for Saturday, April 2. The meet will take place at Fletcher Garner Track in Homer Bryce Stadium.
All former Lumberjack and Ladyjack athletes are invited to compete in the SFA Quad and Alumni Meet, and should contact assistant coach Brian Wall at wallba@sfasu.edu. Athletes should be aware that not all entries will be accepted.
There will be a dinner served in the Touchdown Club for those who choose to watch the meet. The cost of the dinner is $15 per person. The meet itself will consist of SFA, Rice, UT-Tyler, Lon Morris College, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Those wishing to participate in the dinner should contact Coach Wall wallba@sfasu.edu.
Rooms for the SFA Cross Country and Track and Field Alumni have been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express and the Fredonia Hotel and Conference Center. A block of 50 rooms has been reserved, and the special rate will extend through Mar. 15, 2011.
