SFA Track & Field Heads to Oklahoma

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field teams will be in Norman, Okla., Saturday to compete at the Sooner Invitational. The meet will serve as the teams final preparation before the Southland Conference Indoor Championships, which will also be in Norman.
SFA was actually scheduled to be off this week but scheduled the Sooner Invitational after being unable to send the majority of their team to the Iowa State Classic. The meet in Ames, Iowa was originally slated to be the final tune-up before conference, but due to the inclement weather in Nacogdoches, SFA was only able to send its multi-event athletes to the meet.
The Ladyjacks have won four-straight conference team titles, including the last two indoor championships, while the Lumberjacks posted runner-up finishes during the indoor and outdoor seasons last year.
