
SFA Tennis Goes in Search of 5-0 Start

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team will place its modest four-match win streak on the line Saturday when they travel to Tulsa, Okla., to take on Oral Roberts. The match, which was originally scheduled to be played at noon, has been moved to 8 a.m., and will be played at the University of Tulsa's indoor courts.
The Ladyjacks are out to their best start since prior to the 2000 season, and have won in dominant fashion. The Ladyjacks have surrendered a total three points, and have recorded two shutouts so far this season. SFA has also dominated the conference weekly honors, winning two of the first three Southland Conference Player of the Week awards.
The Ladyjacks return to action Thursday when they host Prairie View A&M. The match against the Panthers is slated to begin at 3 p.m. from the Schlief Tennis Complex. It will be the second time this season that SFA has faced the Panthers. The Ladyjacks recorded a 6-1 victory on a neutral court during in the first meeting.
