
Ladyjack Tennis Set to Begin Fall Season

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team will travel to Denton, Texas on Friday to compete in the Mean Green Invitational. Match play is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning at the Waranch Tennis Complex and will wrap up on Sunday afternoon. The field includes players from Sam Houston State, Northwestern State, SMU, Tyler Junior College and UTSA.
The tournament will be Patrick Sullivan's first appearance as SFA's new head coach. Five of the six Ladyjacks competing are returning letterswinners. Doubles team Paola Montuenga and Alina Shazhko received a first round bye in the A Draw. Freshman transfer Ksenia Berestetskaya will team up with Alice Pacaut in the B draw, while senior veterans Andreea Enica and Meaghan Ocanas are set to compete in the C draw.
SFA will be competing in a total of five tournaments this fall, including the ITA Regional Championships in Waco, Texas. The annual SFA Invitational will take place December 1-3 at the Schleif Tennis Complex and will be the Ladyjacks only home match of the season.
