EUGENE, Ore. - Sophomore hurdler Nick McCloud advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the men's 110-meter hurdles Thursday afternoon in Eugene, Ore, but it wasn't the result the Tyler, Texas native was hoping for.
The school-record holder in the 110 hurdles, McCloud advanced to the national meet after posting the third fastest time at the Austin Regional. McCloud, the lone Southland Conference athlete and one of only three athletes from Texas to compete in the event, clocked a time of 16.24 to finish 24th overall.
