Lumberjack Named SLC Athlete of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - Sophomore Nick McCloud has been named Southland Conference Athlete of the Week announced league officials Tuesday afternoon. It is first weekly superlative of McCloud's career.
The Tyler, Texas native recorded a school record in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles Friday at the Arkansas Last Chance meet. McCloud's time of 7.89 qualified for the finals of the event. He returned to the track to finish second overall, and shaved four-hundredths of a second off his school-record time. His time places him 21st in the nation.
