NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team will attempt to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer when SFA sponsors "Kick for the Cure" during its game against Texas State on Oct. 29.
All this week leading up to the game, SFA players will be selling "Kick for the Cure" T-shirts. The players will be stationed on the east side of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Shirts are $10 apiece.
The Ladyjacks will wear "Kick for the Cure" T-shirts during pregame warm-ups. Each player's shirt will be adorned with the name of a loved one whose life has been touched by breast cancer. The soccer program will accept donations at the Center Circle Club tent during the game.
All proceeds from the shirt sales and donations will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
