
SFA Finishes Day Two at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team concluded the second day of competition at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas Thursday night. SFA posted three top-10 finishes on the day, and five in the first two days of the meet.
Freshman Megan Harlan finished ninth in the heptathlon (4,704 points), while sophomore Ebbonye Johnson recorded a 14-th place finish (4,365). Junior thrower Frednisha Marshall just missed an NCAA Regional mark in the women's hammer throw. Marshall recorded a throw of 177-3 to finish 10th overall.
Similar to Marshall, junior Matt Langdon also posted a 10th-place finish in the hammer throw. Langdon recorded a mark of 186-6 in the event.
The Lumberjacks posted two top-10 finishes on Wednesday. Senior Brian Wall posted a top-1o finish in the men's 800 meters. Wall finished 10th overall by clocking a time of 1:54.77. Freshman Xavier Rodriguez also posted a 10th-place finish in the men's 1,500 meters when he crossed the finish line with a time of 4:07.06.
Junior Travis Beavers was also in action running in the men's 400 meters. Beavers clocked a time of 53.93 in the event.
