NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin's Kylie Louw is part of the All-Southland Conference Tournament team, announced Sunday afternoon by the league following Southeastern Louisiana's 2-0 win over Texas State in the tournament championship game.
Louw is one of 11 players named to the all-tournament team and one of just two honorees not to take the field in Sunday's championship match. Louw, the league's Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-SLC selection, scored a goal in SFA's first-round win over McNeese State.
The all-tournament team selection is SFA's first since 2007, when the Ladyjacks won the tournament and earned seven honorees on the all-tournament team.
Following their 5-1 first-round win over McNeese, the Ladyjacks played through two overtime periods to finish in a scoreless tie against Southeastern Louisiana in the semifinals. The Lions advanced in a shootout. SFA finished the 2009 season with a 10-8-2 record.
