Women's Tennis Begins First Day of 2009 Fall Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, TX- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack women's tennis team began match play Friday afternoon in the SFA Fall Invitational at the Schlief Tennis Complex. The tournament consists of a nine-team field competing in both singles and doubles.
Ladyjack senior Roxana Enica and sophomore Alina Shazko combined forces in doubles to win their first two matches 8-5 and 9-8(2). Shazko also won her first-round singles match in straight sets against Texas State's Nyssa Peele 6-4, 6-0. SFA's Paola Muntuenga and Pacaut also won both first round matches.
The tournament will wrap up Saturday with the final day of competition. Play is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
