
SFA Sweeps Athlete of the Week Honors

FRISCO, Texas - Junior Frednisha Marshall and freshman Nick McCloud were named Southland Conference Track and Field Athletes of the Week announced league officials Wednesday evening. It is the second consecutive honor for Marshall, and the fifth of her career, while it is the first of McCloud's young career.
Marshall continues to be a dominant force in the women's weight throw. She improved upon her NCAA provisional mark with a school-record throw of 64-8.00 to win the Razorback Invitational. The throw currently stands as fourth-best mark in the nation.
Marshall also posted a top-five finish in the shot put. She recorded a throw of 43-5 to finish fourth overall.
McCloud competed in three events at the Razorback Invitational producing an individual title in the 60-meter hurdles. McCloud won the event with a time of 8.02 seconds, just missing the school's all-time record.
McCloud competed in the 200 meters where he finished 11th overall with a time of 21.8. He also ran a led of the men's 4X400-meter relay that finished seventh overall.
