
Riley Finishes 13th in Heptathlon

AUSTIN, Texas - Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team finished with the second day of competition at the Texas Relays Thursday afternoon in Austin, Texas. Sophomores Tabitha Riley and Aaron Harlan concluded their competition in the heptathlon and decathlon, respectively.
Riley rallied to climb three spots from Wednesday's standings. She scored 4,706 points to finish 13th overall. Harlan scored 6,463 points to finish 15th overall in the decathlon.
Classmate Frednisha Marshall took to the field in the women's weight throw. Marshall recorded a throw 159-6 to place 14th overall in the event.
The Lumberjacks also had one athlete take to the track in the second day of competition. Senior Zach Ross competed in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles. Ross recorded a time of 53.15 to finish 20th overall.
The third day of competition will get under way Friday at 9:30 a.m. with the running of the women's 4x100-meter relay. The field events will begin 30 minutes later with the women's javelin.
