Robertson Named SLC Athlete of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin freshman Brittainy Robertson was named the Southland Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, marking the first such honor for an SFA athlete this season.
Robertson, a true freshman from Manvel, Texas, led the Ladyjacks to an eighth-place finish Saturday in an Auburn Invitational field that included three of the nation's top 30 teams. Robertson finished 21st with a time of 17:11.65, making her one of the fastest freshmen on the 5,000-meter course.
SFA will be back in action Monday when the Lumberjacks and Ladyjacks host the pre-courser to November's Southland Conference Championships. Monday's pre-conference meet will be held at Piney Woods Country Club.
