
SFA Cross Country Travels to Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Invite

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas- The 'Jacks continue their season in Arkansas at the Chile Pepper Invite.
The race will begin Friday at 4:30 p.m. for the women, and the men will run at 5:00 p.m. CT.
In total, 70 schools will be participating in the men's race, while 70 schools will also race in the women's meet. 54 schools will be sending both a men's and women's team to compete in the Chile Pepper Invite.
Both the men's and women's teams are coming off strong performances in the Rice Invitational as the men scored 74 points and placed second overall out of 12 teams, while the women scored 66 points and placed fourth overall out of ten teams. The women's team was just a point away from finishing first overall in the Rice Invitational as they finished with 66 points while the top team finished with 65.
Tereza Lukasova led the women's side with her second consecutive top five finish by finishing fourth place overall out of 78 total runners. Meanwhile, the men were led by Wyatt Hoover who finished seventh overall out of 92 total runners.
Following the Chile Pepper Invite, both the men's and women's teams will get a small break as their next meet will not be until the Arturo Barrios Invite on October 13th at Texas A&M.
